A dozen entries, but half-point bye requests meant that it was not until Sunday that the competition became self-contained. As ever with this section some of the games swung wildly so that the result handed in was not always the one anticipated by viewing the game even just fifteen minutes previously.
Three players entered the final round on an unbeaten three, with Julian beating carl to share the spoils with Derek. Robert West also finished the competition unbeaten, but with his only win coming in the last round, he was not in contention. Instead his major influence was in slowing Julian with a round two draw.
