No stress yet, but its early in the game
A study in concentration from Mini newcomer Michael Matar
The agony of the search for a good move
The field for the U130 was a nice round ten drawn from six different clubs - Alsager, Cheddleton, Fenton, Holmes Chapel, Newcastle and Stafford. After two rounds only Dave Price and Richard Cantliff were on two points, and in due course they filled the top two places with Richard unbeaten and a half point clear of Dave.
Jacob spent most of the congress hiding under a cap, but not here. Ernest Wilkinson's good Sunday won him the kangaroo prize. Sam's never-say-die approach gave rise to hilarity in the last round as opponent Dave Price threatened to fill the board with queens. Mini regular Pete, who never recovered from a slow start this year. Nic adopts the thinking pose.
