After three years of all play all in the U165 we suddenly found ourselves with eleven bodies who duly set about carving each other up at their normal paces and in their own inimitable styles. Despite a lack of sleep Alan Paling successfully played with the draw in hand, but was marginally less incisive than Craig and duly ended up a half point behind. Micheal and Diarmid played on into a dead knight and pawn ending in the final round as they vainly tried to reach a tie for second place.
Those intrepid competitors eligible for a lower section all acquitted themselves well so hopefully will be prepared to try their luck in this section again.
