Newcastle Mini Congress U120 section

Front to back: left: James Rothwell, Chris Ford, Sandra Blackburn.
right: Alan Thomason, Geoff Lee, Stuart Hull, Paul Clapham.
White should be on the right, but Stuart and Sandra seem to have turned the board around.

This section could claim to know what to expect, with all bar one being entrants in previous events.
Fenton's Ben Zitha (left) dominated the U120 section, winning with one round to spare. This didn't stop him playing properly in the final round, and he successfully attained a 100% score.
Former Newcastle member James Rothwell (right) now fights out of Ormskirk. He is seen here using the 'spectator' method of viewing his game, presumably in the hope that the adage about spectators seeing more holds true.
James tied second with Stuart Hull from Fenton (below left) who is demonstrating his version of distant play.
There were some full point byes awarded in rounds with an odd number of competitors, but each time the player affected still got a game.
